GREETINGS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE

[+] serious ballot by larrynelmira
ACTIVE Tue Jun 24, 08 - Wed Jun 24, 09

My brother and I received a certificate from the White House, signed by President Bush in appreciation for my Dads service in the military.

I realize this is a form type certificate, The President didn't sign it personally, but symbolically it's a nice certificate honoring my Dad.

I showed it to some of my friends and they said they would never have a document like that in their house, that we should just throw it in the trash.

What do you think about this or any such document?

I would save it with pride
I would throw it in the trash

It shows the goverment works for you

President Bush was the reason most of my friends said they would not keep it.

I would keep it... it's a keepsake and an acknowledgement honoring your Dad... maybe I wouldn't be showing it to anybody (right now) though... (to avoid comments like your friends)...

They are JEALOUS. Frame it, show it off, and feel pride in your Dad. It is because of people like your Dad and what they did to help give us our great nation that ALLOWS weenies like that to tell you to throw it in the trash.

Hey its just like most of the legislation Bush "signs."

He doesn't really sign it, he adds a signing statement to it to disavow it.
