I don't know. I guess they think that by ignoring the person that he'll go away. And then sometimes law enforcement will ignore things just so they won't have to do the paperwork. A good friend of my in-law's let some people use his cabin in exchange for keeping the place up. They needed a place to live and he needed someone to look after his camp house. In turn, they stole from him and admitted that they did it. He went to the sheriff's office to file charges and they actually told him there's nothing they could do. WTF? Not wanting to let such scum get away with it, he went back and confronted the people himself and got beat over the head. He went back to the sheriff's office with a knot on his head and they still wouldn't do anything. The sheriff is from California and as of a year ago, still did not have a Texas peace officers license. How on earth he got the job is beyond me. Although knowing the corruption going on in the tri-county area, I have a pretty good guess. I miss our old sheriff. He was a hard nose man, but as long as you weren't causing any trouble or bothering anyone, he wouldn't bother you. If you were a trouble maker though, you'd get your butt hauled off to jail pretty quick. Needless to say, thefts in the county have risen since he's been out of office.
Test.
