[+] serious ballot by thesoothsayer ACTIVE Wed Jul 02, 08 - Thu Jul 02, 09 Obama seems to be taking on Republican Sponsored Ideals like expanding "Faith-Based" expenditures to Religious organizations to reach out to certain disadvantaged groups which (IMO) is/was a bad idea from the start...wouldn't it be better to streamline and revamp all the social services administrations/programs that are supposed to do that sort of thing ? Seems there is too much wiggle room for it to work... is he pandering to the "evangels" to get their vote ? the last time I checked they collect gobs of money tax free and SHOULD be helping the poor and needy instead of installing gold plated toilets in their personal homes or driving Bentleys... is he avowing change and really is offering more of the same ? Then there's this (voluntary ?) community service initiative ... what up with that ? It's always better to remember how you got to the dance if you want a ride home... He's moving toward the right He's pandering to the "conservative religious" right He's moving toward the center He's trying to have his cake and eat it too He is not pandering but lying to the "right".
