A QUESTION ABOUT THE MAIL SERVICE.

Do they have some sort of right at all to check your mail?

I'm asking because quite a few of my packages have been tampered with and each time it keeps getting worse. I know it happens along the mail since I am always around so the packages are never left alone.
Like today I got a package and it had clearly been ripped opened this time and the mail person handed it directly to me. The vaccum sealed plastic on the games and covering the whole group of items had been ripped as well yet nothing was missing. One of my video games cases is broken at the bottom in a corner though so I guess to look inside.

Even my anime clothes I have gotten in a big box had this. Every item had been opened so it's not a belt problem.

Like what reasons other than stealing the stuff could it be?
I'm getting pretty sick of this sh^t since in the future I have a very special Collector's Edition game coming and I don't want it ruined at all. I really am thinking of just canceling the purchase since I rather go without the game then to pay a lot of money for screwed up stuff.
And no getting the item in a store is impossible.

So WTF? I don't know about going to the office and bitching since I know it's them doing it.

No reason.
Yes there are. I'll list below.
They want your stuff. Duh!
Do this.....

Are the packages mailed from overseas? Or even Canada? If so, it could be customs opening them.

I had a friend who would send me stuff from the UK. He had no idea that you were supposed to include a customs declaration on the package if it contained anything other than letters. As a result, I'd get the stuff at least a week or two later than expected and it had been opened. Nothing was missing, but the packages had obviously been opened and inspected.

If I'm not mistaken, the postal service has the right to open any packages, but usually don't unless there's an obvious reason for them to.

Still, I don't think it would hurt to at least ask the post office why they were opened.

Sounds like some strange people. There are laws against tampering with the mail.

The stuff is USA mailed so nothing from anywhere but the states.

I thought they had at least for certain reasons but why after seeing nothing's wrong keep opening all my stuff. They just do it to my items also. Everyone else's stuff is fine in my family.

I think they've visited this site and have got you down as a terrorist. They're searchin' your shit for terrorist bits an' bobs, just be happy that your declining privacy rights are keeping Americans safe in their beds at night!

Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, laaaa laaaaa laaa da deeee etc etc.

It may be some nincompoop in the mail service who recognizes the senders name as a places they order stuff from and they are just looking to see whatcha got. Also, you are in a small city where everybody knows everyone and maybe they know you and are messing with you. Why not on purpose have someone mail you a package with this note in it: "It is a federal offesne to open mail. I know who you are and I know where you live." And inlude a severed horses' head.

^ They are evil lol. My town has never done this before that I know of plus my mail has been coming a different route as of late. It goes through a different hub before getting to our town.

Messing with me? Breaking my stuff is far beyond a joke. I buy new things to have new things. Not screwed with items by others filthy hands. Checking out the items is one thing but actually breaking the seal is a sure way to fuc^ing piss me off. I get new video games yet I miss that nice new smell.

As for the horse trick um no lol. I'll just take a nice shit for them lol.

by britvic55 on Sat Jul 26, 08 7:54pm [+]

It's the Bush Administration. They have Homeland Security checking you mail because you are on their "Watch List"

You have been disignated as a "person of interest."
