i spent years wasting my life.
I have to make as much money as possible in the next 5 years, because I don't have a lot of time left before I become a drooling vegetable.

Life Savings, My House, Sex, My Pet, Music, My Computer.
Absolutely gutted maybe, but to "feel that life wasn't worth living anymore" would have to be a good chunk out off that list.
