I am pro-choice, no one has the right to decide what another human-being does with her/his own body. If God forbids abortions, then, thats between the individual and God. Man must reframe from minding God's business and be about their own. When is a fetus a fetus, when is a human being is a human being? Only God knows. Therefore, no one owns anyone's body and does not possess the God given rights to decide what that person may or may not do with their body. Eventhough, man has written laws to give husbands rights to decide whether their wives may have their tubes tied and to be notified in some states when a wife is seeking an abortion. Gee, I wonder if a wife is notified when a husband is seeking to have surgery performed regarding his male organs or prostate gland...I vehemently oppose to anyone imposing their will on another. Yes, some may say, well, the mother is imposing her will upon the child to be born, then, thats between God and that woman, not you nor I...

I'm against abortion, but not for religious reasons. I believe in children's rights and I believe all children have the right to be born. Simple.
Anybody who forces someone to exist in this world especially if they are poor and fucked up it commiting an atrocity. Abortion is the saviour of many who would have been forced to exist in on this hell planet but now are lucky to have eternal non-existant bliss!
Abortion is NOT a religious issue. This is about the right to do with your body what you choose. In my opinion, even fewer people should be having children. Many people are not fit to be parents, period.
I think a lot of people here would have a different opinion if women layed eggs.
The answer is simple.Are you ready for a child? If not, get an abortion. Dont screw up the life of a child and yours if your not prepared for it. To bring such an unfortunate child into the world, and give it up for adoption or to raise it in hell, would not be benificial to you or the baby. And tyo think that all children would find cures and answers to many questions is ludacris! In the conditions in which they will be living, there's probably a better chance that they'll grow yup to do the WRONG things. And tassadar, you're right to say what you want, and although I disagree, no one should judge what you say, because in turn, they become no better or less a person than you. Have a nice day.

Abortion is murder, and unnessesary with the release of the morning after pill wich is NOT abortion, it is taken the morning after, or up to 2 or 3 days after and what it does is prevents a child from ever being conceved. And being a christian I believe that the problem is sex is too casual, but, also as a level headed person I hate the super christan fundamentalist who bash abortion, and bomb clincs, and yet don't get behind this pill wich leads me to believe they arn't against abortion, but rather the fact that people are engaging in activities that they don't aprove of, which is idiotic. I think if the birth control fails, you should have the child and give it up for adoption. The biggest mistake is to have the child and raise it when you are unprepared, b/c that child will mess up society, and breed more messed up offspring just like mommy and daddy, as Adam Corolla says if your not prepared for a baby and don't give it up for adoption, your better off "letting racoons rais it" or getting a sugical tubing water ballon launcher and "launching the child in the direction of the nicest region," (plz don't really do this!). Thats my 2 cents...

After 6 months because by then the woman should know if she wants the child or not. Rape-No woman should be forced to bring a child to term if she was raped. Life Threatening- if the mother is in danger of losing her life.

This is a touchy subject. I was pro-choice until I found how the abortion is done. Maybe there is a new method but the method I read about was a piercing of the babies scull. Man, that just aint right. I would never tell someone else what to do though but they should know what the procedure entails.
I was for it before I had my daughter. Life would not be worth living without her. Now that I can't have more, it kills me to see a fetus killed. Give the baby to me, I'll love it.

I'm all for it. The less people the better.
I beleve in abortion because I can't say I'm totally against it. I'm somewhere in between but defining what makes a case to allow abortion is too specific for law. Plus it's ultimately up to the woman because too many men won't stand by and be responsible for they helped do.
I think ever women who dosent want their chlid shouldn't have messed around in the being if they weren't ready to care for thei child! But then again I think they should put the children up for adoption because some women can't have childen
Considering at the point of abortion, the removed specimen is more a conglomerate of cells than a human being, it is hardly unethical to stop it from growing. The repercussions of a young woman unprepared for a child on her life and those around her is far more significant than that of ceasing the growth of cells.
Do you really think you have the right to tell this quintessential young woman that she must have her child; that she must be put through that pain?

Because the way I see it, if you're a 15 year old girl and you just got raped, you shouldn't have to go through the pain and labors of child birth, and that's pretty much my only exeption...

abortion is wrong period, even in the case of rape, the baby is innocent, why give it the death penalty when it was the biological father who committed the crime(rape) it' not the baby's fault...

Give me a break with your "oh its cruel!" (esp. when its romanticized). People like you are assholes for playing with peoples sensitivity. But in the end what need to be done should be done. Ie terminate pregnancy if the foetus is unwanted (there is no human, its not a baby, its a FOETUS).
The so called "pro-lifers" that pride themselves for not being cruel should think about REAL suffering and REAL waste of lives.
I really hate it when a bunch of bastards play on a persons feelings of shame (ie:"it's murdering defenseless innocent baby") to push their archaic ideas.
There is no "baby" there is nothing that can be innocent or not innocent.
