Someone said to me , "Did you hear Russia invaded Georgia" I calmly replied yeah, she said
"Isn't' that terrible, what we going to do?" When I said I didn't know, probably not much we can do , she got upset with me.

Long story short, she thought Russia invaded the US State of Georgia, true story, I kid you not.

I couldn't stop laughing, maybe it's one of those things that you had to be there to get the humor.

I'm not making light of a bad situation but this person thinking it was the US State, is that sad or funny?

Both, but I almost think it's more sad than funny.

I know someone who would probably think the very same thing. She has no mental retardation, there's nothing wrong with the highschool that she just graduated out of, and she is actually very book smart. But she is as dense as they come and has no common sense or social intelligence what-so-ever. Some of the things that she says would make you wonder how she comes up with the logic that she does. She is so centered on herself that she literally just does not think.

yeah, that's what I thought too, I know a lot of people like you described, great grades, could probably be a rocket scientist,
