let's say that if it's a genetics, then there has to be a gene therapy that can be developed to CURE homosexuals.

Even if you put humans to one side, homosexual practice is prevalent in the animal world.... as animals act mostly on instinct, they can hardly be accused of 'choosing' to act 'unnaturally'

In some cases in the natural development of emotional and psychosexual bonds, one ends up bonding with members of ones own sex.. It's quite natural in that it is a sequence of cause and effect, and the realization of how one actually feels is sometimes quite startling.. Since the majority of the population is 'straight' they often can not understand how anyone could be attracted to ones own sex.. But it's quite easy, actually!
The feelings are quite real, and a desire to express those feelings is quite understandable..
Who knows, there might (sometimes) be a genetic factor.. And 'experimenting' or 'trying something' might sometimes result in same-sex feelings and needs..
In any case, avoid risky behavior, be very careful. Hugs and kissings to all the world..

^LCD, you really need to rethink this subject, no one chooses to be gay or straight, you have as much choice over your sexual orientation as you do the color of your skin, eyes and hair. And why would you want a "gay-cure"? Do you consider being gay to be a disease or a defect?
No one is born that way either. If it had anything to do with the way gay people are being born you'd see families with all gay children and all straight children, you wouldn't have families with one straight child and one gay child like Grapost's. It's all to do with personality development.

Don't you dare try bringing natural selection into a discussion on homosexuality. Natural selection has no applied to the human species for hundreds of thousands of years.

When will scientists isolate the Liking Judy Garland gene? Personally I have no problem at all with gays, but i'd like the gene scientists to isolate and remove forever the Talking Camp gene.

more I observe human conditions and motivations, I think natural selection plays a huge part even today.
I really don't understand the hundred of thousands part. it's well known and accepted that natural selection plays amazing part in even several generations of a species and I don't see how human beings are any different.
the only strong argument I see against my hypothesis is that you see homosexual behavior in animal species too, under certain conditions.
modified development, maybe. I would like to think we have the inalienable rights to choose our behavior, and not get persecuted by it.
