Not anymore than feeding them venison backstrap while watching Bambi.

Toughen 'em up a bit. My uncle had a tame bull, "Ferdinand", who we played with and petted every day after school. One day he had a barbecue. My uncle made me a DELICIOUS hamburger. He said, "Ya' know what yer eatin? FERDINAND!" It didn't faze me a bit. I answered, "He's as good dead as he was alive." My uncle looked at me in shock and walked away. I've cherished that look on his face my entire life.
Still, I don't think it's a bad idea to serve fishsticks to kids wathcing Finding Nemo. Kids can be stunningly heartless, you know.
And fishstick are about as close to fish as cherry Koolaide is to fresh cherries.
