Voted : Religious views
i think religion. A lot of people use it as a backbone to their life, unlike politics, where people often sway quite easily....in my experience anyway

I think it depends on the individual. Some people are open to opinions that differ from their own, and can be swayed by them, whereas other people are too deeply rooted in their own views to even consider opposing beliefs.

Voted : Religious views
People will almost always vote against their own best interests, if they didn't, conservative/right wing parties would never exist.

Religion is also partly to blame for this. The right hijack the belief in god, imbuing the god with their values, which is confusing, as most gods of modern times (Jesus, Buddha etc) are compassionate, merciful and loving gods.

If Jesus was alive today, he would almost certainly be of a left leaning persuasion.

Voted : Can change both
Depending on life experience. I've radically changed both in my life.

Voted : Religious views
Views of a political party change often, but the views a religion rarely or never change, so if someone really takes hold in them it can be hard to change them as they're kind of used to switching political views but may have never changed religious views.

Voted : Can't change either
YOU can't change them.

Only events that OCCUR to People during their lifetime will change their views.

The Pro Gun person whose family is shot to death becomes a gun control advocate.

Thins like that.

I was brought up a catholic, and attended a seminary for two years to become a priest.... and then realised the utter illogic of it all.

It has to be done by the person, it's difficult to change someones mind, especially when they have been indoctrinated since childhood
