The human race should try to achieve his dream of an optimistic future where, when we get to the Twenty-Third Century there is no issues of hate, racism, sexism or class, and we will have evolved to a point as human beings where we've got our stuff together. And we can take that consciousness out and explore...

What a wonderful thought. A whole world of skylabs! But none of them would know medicine or farming or most other things as well, and no one would question anyone's possible mistakes, so it wouldn't work very well.

I would like to think so but I realize we need all those other views, everyone brings something to the table, some more positive and some more negative, some more advanced, some primitive, some more radical, etc... If we are all alike, there's no need for one of us...

That was what the Nazis were going for. No, the world would be a horrible place. We need opposing views to reveal our defaults sometimes, imagine if everyone was blind to climate change or denied it, in extreme scenarios like that, agree to not disagree would lead to the downfall of the earth and all that lived on it.
