WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN THIS 2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION ?

[+] serious ballot by thesoothsayer
ACTIVE Sun Sep 14, 08 - Mon Sep 14, 09

I believe this will be one of the most complex elections ever in this "Young Republic" despite the track record of the past eight years, we are going into uncharted waters and there areso many variables to take into consideration when we go to the polls... there's party loyalty, race loyalty, race issues, gender loyalty, gender issues, rights concerns, tax worries, age issues, mortality issues, serious economic ramifications, security issues, ecologic concerns, qualification questions and global trade issues just to name a few... sometimes change is good, sometimes bad, sometimes superficial... never mind who you want to win and might vote for, who do you think will be the winner when the smoke clears, and all the votes are officially counted ?

John McCain
Barack Obama
Too close to call
Either way, there will be riots
The American People are going to Lose

I have never aligned myself to one party or another. I always considered myself as someone down the middle. No way could I be so far right to be conservative and so far left to be a liberal. And my voting seems to reflect this.

Sometimes I can not believe that I voted for George W. last time. But back then I truly believed that Kerry would have been worse.
This time around I was a John Edwards guy, until he dropped out. Not that I approved of his dippin' his wick in another candle. But he was a champion for the average guy.
I find it a little funny that just four years ago, some people, whether media or political, actually said that Kerry should have picked John McCain as a running mate (now that would have been a shock). As the democrats knew that Kerry was a 'Boob' so to speak.
This time around I hear what I believe to more of what I want, from Obama than I do McCain.

I also find it amazing that both candidates choice in a VP running mate are not what I expected. Although I think Biden is a better choice than Palin. I still can't believe that McCain chose her. He's the 'Boob' now in my mind.

Obama will get my vote in November.

I don't own a 'new' car. I live pay check to pay check, just like a lot of us out there. I see Obama looking at my side of the middle class line, and saying that he is there for me.
I see McCain going to the far right to try a get votes. (A woman's right to choose - gone, tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans) And If you think Iraq is bad now, wait 'till he goes after Iran.

Every Election the term 'Need for Change' comes up. And I agree. I see Obama as the man that's gonna lead this country in the biggest change the world has ever seen.
And if McCain wins, I see the same as it has been for the past eight years.

Thank You for you time.
And I approve this message.
Randy.

The sane part of the US and the rest of the civilised world hope it's Barack Obama, prepare to turn off the lights and slip into a dark age if the Republicans win again..

while I may not talk about my personal condition, I can say my porfolio is down between 20 to 23 per cent, and that's not good, there's many of us out here that's feeling the effects of financial policies in place even before the last eight years, but with less oversight under Republican leadership, and you only hear about bailouts of these large entities with tax money while the small investors are taking it on the chin... many people who feel unaffected (now) do not realize how many of these things will come back to haunt us/them now and in the future... while I don't consider myself to be a conspiracy nut, I do think the republicans are more prone to "hidden agendas" (their "fixes" are designed to benefit the large corps more than the "people" or be equitable) so it's time for someone else to lead for awhile...

My portfolio is down too. But do I focus more on the current Democrat Congress or the President? The Democrats this year in Congress have been mainly do-nothings. They do not need a vacation now.
But as for the election, McCain may get votes from those who refuse to admit that they are voting for him. He might win in a close one. That is my feelings right now. But I prefer Chuck Baldwin right now.

The President had a rubber stamp Congress for almost seven years and he vetoed a lot of bills sent to him by the Democrats knowing they could not override if vetoed because of the Republicans, so many people don't even understand why many things could not get done. that's the reason why the Republicans were losing seats and that is why they are going to lost this election. anytime their (the Democrats) majority hinged on a Joe lieberman(?) they were barely able to do anything. It's sad how many people fail to understand how the system works. It's amazing how the Republicans are in denial of their inability to do anything but waste money, allow the large entities to run roughshod over the working people perpetuate wars by fear and fabrication. They proved how inept they are at solving problems and how good they are at making bad situations worse. They wouldn't even acknowledge some problems until they grew to be so obvious even a dummy could see them. After spending more than a trillion dollars. Then they point the finger at those not in power as being at fault.

Everything is going Downhill. Housing. Banks. Stockmarket. Oil and gas. Jobs. Economy. Confidence. Hope. Groceries. Everything. And now, the 'new president'. A disaster. A horrible mistake. Total chaos. Evil at large in America and the World. (And I'm Not talking about the elderly candidate).
I foresee Danger, Subversion, and Treachery at all levels. Goodbye America, it was nice knowing you.
