WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON MOM WHO STOLE DAUGHTER'S ID TO BE CHEERLEADER?

In Green Bay, Wisconsin, A 33-year-old woman stole her daughter's identity to attend high school and join the cheerleading squad.

Her daughter lives in Nevada with her father, and attends high school there.

Mom's excuse is that she didn't have a childhood, and wanted to regain a part of her life that she'd missed.

If convicted, she could face up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Granted, she wasn't doing her daughter any financial harm in doing this. However, it does seem kind of sick to steal your daughter's ID, even if it is in the name of reclaiming a part of your own life that you missed.

Seems to me if she is good-looking enough to pass for high-school age, she should have tried out for the Packers cheerleaders instead. Then she could get paid to do it. Or, in the cities, they have places where adults can do cheerleading. They are very popular in Columbus, Ohio, as there are lots of "rich bitches" who want to relive a moment in their childhood, or reclaim a part of their childhood they never got.

I don't have anything against people wanting to make up for "missed childhood", but I have trouble feeling sorry for her, because she stole from her daughter in order to attempt it.

I don't know if it warrants the possible prison time she is looking at, though (up to 6 years if - perhaps I should say when - convicted). I think community service and maybe probation would be more in order, since no monetary damage was done to her daughter.

Please, feel free to share your opinions and comments.

Since there was no monetary damage, she should not go to prison.
She should go to prison, on the principle of what she did.
Perhaps she can be cheerleader for the prison basketball team.

Pathetic was the first word that came to my mind.

Community service and counseling would make more sense, although she sounds weird.
