COMMENTS:
Actually, the smaller the creature is in real life, the more fearsome its giant counterpart would be. A 100 foot tall boll weevil would probably cause a famine, because small creatures such as insects have a high metabolic rate and must eat almost constantly. A 100 foot tall amoeba would eat everything edible in the world in a matter of days.

Oh, I almost forgot about proportional insect strength and speed. A 100 foot tall dragonfly would be able to fly at supersonic speeds, creating gale-force winds with its wings and its jaws would be able to gnaw at carbon steel.

I hadn't really considered proportional strength/speed, but you're right! Plus I bet the tough exoskeleton of some would make them very resistent to any counterattack measures. Now that I think about it, a huge anteater would be pretty freaky too.
