The MAN decides he needs to "express his inner self". So he goes out and gets tatoos on his face.
Comes home and the wife is horrified, says he looks hideous and a like a freak, and doesn't want to be seen in public with him.
He says the tattoo's make him feel young, more manly and trendy.
He says what he does to his body has nothing to do with her. He has a full time job and 3 kids to support. He should be able to do something for "himself" if he wants.
He says his wife feels he did this purposely to upset her. Says that sounds selfish to him. It's my face isn't it?
DEAR ABBY WOULD SAY: How dare he make such a change in appearance WITHOUT consulting the wife first.
By doing so, he is subjecting HER to public embarrassment and ridicule. This will totally ruin HER social life. He has shown a complete disregard for HER feelings. Apparently he is not aware that looking normal was part of the deal when she married him.
