Generally it is good to not judge someone until you have met them. However, there are common characteristics found in certain ethnic/racial groups that are stereotyped and thus have some truth, whether people want to face it or not. I think everyone has their own part to play. The mexicans for the most part come to America and take jobs that many American wont, but they do cost alot to school and give medical treatment. The danger is when people become so hysterically politically correct that the ignore reality, and use the misused term "racism" against any evidence that proves them wrong... If Africa was a prosperous industrailized nation, and whites went to Africa, and many of the whites took welfare from the Africans and committed many crime, the Africans would say the same things about whites that whites say about blacks in America today. No ammount of PC hysteria will change the facts. You just need to grow up and put away the name calling, i.e. "racist".

I never said there was no racism here. There's racism everywhere, just to a different degree. My cousin for example sees it as day and night. She lived and grew up in the States and moved to Canada in her 30s. You never hear about 'minorities' or statistics on specific races like you do there...aka segregation.
Actually Canada is more diverse than any other country in the world.

The Inuit, what about them? We've recently (1997) given them their own territory in the north called Nunavut and they run the territorial government up there. And Quebec, what have we recently done to them? They have their own culture and language there, and the majority of the French Canadians want to remain a part of Canada now. Talk of separation is old news.

If you go to ANY city in Canada, you will find this. Canada's ratio of white people to minorities far outnumbers the United States. We're at the point where only 50% of the population will be white in a few years. Our country thrives on diversity and multiculturalism instead of assimilation. As an example, it's a fact that there are more Italians in Canada than the United States. And we only have 1/10 of the population. It's not propaganda, it's a fact.

The Inuit may be poor, but this is mainly due to the fact that they live in a completely different world than the rest of us. For the most part, they live their traditional way of life in the far north. They hunt their own food, practice their traditional cultures, don't pay any taxes, get government subsidies and get education and health care free when they want/need it. That doesn't sound very harsh to me. And yes, in 1995, Quebec was close to voting for independance. But the separation movement has tapered off quite dramatically since then and the majority of them want to stay in the country.
That's a load of bullshit! There are far more comments and polls racist against Americans than anyone else. Im sick of all these "America sucks" polls. They are a load of bullshit
