In RECENT a ABC News interview with Charles Gibson, President Bush made the following statement:

I was also struck by Bush's effort in the Gibson interview to absolve himself of blame for the subprime mortgage crisis and near collapse of the financial system.

He said: "You know, I'm the president during this period of time, but I think when the history of this period is written, people will realize a lot of the decisions that were made on Wall Street took place over a decade or so, before I arrived ... And when people review the history of this administration, people will say that this administration tried hard to get a regulator."

CAN YOU BELIVE THIS!

He blames Clinton, Admits he KNEW about the problem, was PRESIDENT for 8 years and did nothing to stop it, AND STILL CONSIDERS THE WHOLE THING NOT HIS FAULT!

That is EXACTLY what they did when the economy got better under Clinton.

They claimed it was Reagan & Bush policies put in place BEFORE the election that turn the economy around.

Amazing. One photo op showed Bush era politicians going at red tape with a chainsaw, to show their love of deregulation. And there were warnings about predatory lending and ARMs, all ignored.
