I like my first name but my middle name doesn't go with it. I wanted to change my middle name but I chickened out. Even though my Dad told they picked it out of the blue at the last moment, I still felt I would be betraying them.

when i was younger i hated my middle name - but now i kind of like it. it's sort of an alter ego - haha. but even back then i didn't want to change it - i just didn't want to have it.

Of course. When I was about 6 or 7, I decided to change my name, so I picked a new name and started writing it on my school papers. The teachers were not amused.
I go by Sandy. Do you think I need to change it? LOL

At one time, because my Insane Sister had done some unauthorized peeking into my bank accounts, making me fearful at the possibility that she might try to steal my identity. (And NO, it's not as out there as you might think.) But I reconsidered, because I like my name, first for a great man and the second the legacy of an equally great one, IMO.
