The same Constitution--and its 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments-- that protect the descendants of the formerly enslaved also protect the most virulent racists who'd probably like to see them slapped back in chains. That's how the Constitution works; it's not "a la carte" in its application.

Haven't you ever seen the "Civil War" episode of "South Park" with Eric Cartman as Robert E. Lee. I have to hand it to Parker and Stone for coming up with such a clever--and legally accurate--conclusion when Cartman's finally defeated and is supposed to become Kyle and Stan's slave for a month.
