I bought an identical knock off purse recently. Mine cost $18.00. The real one costs $1100.00. It is a copy of a Marc Jacobs purse.
I even buy no name stuff at thrift shops.

I've always been a test-drive type, and I do experiment with off-brands, because they can sometimes be a better value/quality than name brandds.
But not always...
Struck too fast again, pardon me. Some brands of Brand X sodas are like laxatives. Avoid at all costs, unless you're *really* backed up.

Some of the generic products are just surplus name brand products sold to generic companies. Some though are crap, just like some of the name brand items.

I always buy the drugstore brand (which are at least 20% cheaper) when I shop for OTC things like antihistamines, eye drops, etc.

There a lot of items, especially in the grocery store, that the generic is just as good as the named brand.

Generic most of the time, except when family members demand name brand. Except for Colas.
