Meant to say, "impossibly airbrushed images in magazines."
Voted : I am a man and prefer slender women
If by slender you mean like the girl in the picture. She's not grotesquely thin, rather healthy and toned. Gotta love that. I wouldn't say I "prefer" slim women, rather I prefer women that take care of themselves. I can barely take care of myself, so I don't need the added burden of keeping my S.O. in shape.
^^ And you're right. The women paraded around in magazines and movies set the bar so high that very few women could ever hope to clear it. That's a shame really. Regardless of your shape, color, or size, take care of what you got. That's all I ask.
it really depends on the body type. rail thin is really unattractive, I tend to be more attracted to buxom women who are confident and happy with her body, but thin and proportionate can be very pleasing to the eye too. I would like one of each please, to go :)

My husband voted hot and said he didn't think she was too thin. He said she was fit and natural, I explained to him that it is not natural to see ribs or hip bones, nor is it natural and healthy to have that curve in her spine. If it were healthy and natural, he would look like that since he eats a healthy diet. :)
^That was my wife's comment
^^ I was gonna say that I always thought skylab was a dude :)

I'm underweight right now, and I don't like it. I need to gain weight, but I don't have a sweet tooth. Any wisdom out there? I want to put on five pounds at least.

^ mojo, try pasta dishes, if you like them. It's what I'm trying.
To mojo: I have the same problem but it's not through dieting. Renee Zellweger had to put on a ton of weight for the character Bridget Jones and she ate lots of cheese and dairy products. Charlize Theron had to gain around 40 lbs for the female serial killer character in Monster, and I read that she ate loads of fried foods. I'm eating a lot of deep fried fish and shrimp with salads on the side for nutritional value, washed down with chocolate milk and/or milkshakes. I've gained a few pounds but the problem is I burn them off too quickly. It's quite a nice feeling to know that I can scarf down dessert anytime I want to without a twinge of guilt, but I'm having a problem with certain females around me. Some are openly hostile because of my size and ability to eat anything and still stay a size 3, when in fact I envy them because they aren't as stressed out as I am. Once upon a time I was on the curvy side, but that was when I was happier and more secure in myself. Stress is the ultimate calorie burner.
you probably don't want to compound problem with clogged arteries, so no gallons of bacon fat. you can try Potatoes, Yams, Tofu, rice, beans, etc. baked sweet potato fries... YUM..
