Voted : Keith Emerson (ELP)
Special attention, please, to ELP's cover of the Peter Gunn Theme.
Voted : harvey bainbridge (Hawkwind)
To my mind that's a bit of a contradiction really. But I'm aware you dont mean synthesized rubbish :-) On this list I'd go for ken hensley but that's only because it's been a long time since i've heard any heep, which is going to get downloaded now :-) But alas it has to be Harvey B because I feel that keyboard doesn't really belong in rock (for me anyway) unless its being used for creating a backdrop in mood for modal harmonies to overlay. But that aint rock... :-) If noones heard hawkwind then go utube some. otherwise you will never know :-) while not the most technical band in the general scheme of things hawkwind capture a certain feeling. Helps if you've had some kind of illicit drug too :-)

Probably Billy Joel but I don't know that his music is true rock. What about Elton John? They might me more what we call Pop though.
Voted : Billy Preston
Billy was known as the Fifth Beatle because he played keyboards on Let it Be, The White Album and Abbey Road. He also played on the Rolling Stones's hit song Miss You, and often played with Eric Clapton. He also played with Neil Diamond and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
