kinda hard to extract apologies from those who had nothing to do with it.

if anything, it's definition of racism, since you are grouping people who have nothing to do with american slavery system, like the 20th century immigrants from europe, based solely on the color of their skin.

I think we should ALL be ashamed of it as a species, and try our darnest to not repeat it in the present/future.

White people need not apologize for something they didn't do. Jews brought the slaves to America and were the principal slave owners--not whites. Jews are still the leaders of the world's human trafficking trade.
