The trouble with God is that people try to work out what "it" is. This is not a good idea. One of the advantages of being omnipotent is that it is easy for you to stay one step ahead of the game. All it has to do to a cynic is stick a few little doubts in his/her mind by chucking in the occasional unlikely coincidence or unexplainable occurance. If it is some all seeing eye that knows what you are thinking all the time, how difficult is it going to be for it to point you in whichever direction it so desires? I am sceptical about religion, but I never dismiss it as there is just so much that we earthlings don't know about. When I say, we earthlings,I am not just talking about "Homo Erectus Americanis" either.
If God exists then there is obviously only one, and as long as humans have been able to walk upright we've been fighting over what to call him and teaming up in little groups and clubs, all for God. And now we have a president who wants to push one little club on everyone when he's obviously lying as he pretends to care about 'God'. If God is watching at all, if God cares a bit for mankind we're just disappointing.

Naw, get it right dude. There's 50 bibles so that means there's 50 gods. The Muslim god has a long beard. There's a black god with a huge 'rod.' There's a white god who can't jump. There's a mexican god who loves tecitos.
Point is, if god does exist..why are there so many 'different' religions who believe different things. I know I got off the subject but I believe that the only people who believe in got are scared shitless of death.

Theoretically the Christian Jewish and Muslim "God" is the same "Being".. but the Christian God is that of the Christian sect, the Jewish God is a creation of the Jewish tribe, and the Muslim God is that depicted by Mohammed..
However, that which really Is GOD, is not some creation of ancient Middle Eastern minds..!! Real GOD transcends all human concepts and is quite beyond mere human understanding.. GOD Is that which IT is.. GOD neither 'judges' nor 'punishes' anyone, quite the contrary.. As Pure Understanding GOD is also Pure Compassion.. The humorously named "Big Bang" is true, as well as "thoroughly guided evolution".. Intelligence Is inherent in Everything, and its main production at least here, is a vast assortment of lifeforms, which add interest to and provide entertainment for the Mind or Minds of The GOD or The GODS, as the case may be..!! An extraterrestial understanding of GOD will undoubtedly be more accurate than any human understanding, version, can be..!! Think, then, if possible, in a way that transcends the mere human thinking of Earth..!!
All 3 belief systems have the same patriarch of Abraham. All three worship the God of Abraham, which indicates that it is the same God. Time magazine had a cover story on it some time ago called, "Abraham, the father of three religions".

This endless bickering about Jesus and the Jews is ridiculous...The point is, God is number one and I believe that all three belief systems believe in the same God...My issue regarding those who consider themselves either, Christians, Muslim, and/or practices Judaism and discriminates, judge, impose their own religious believes on others, claims/preaches that their religion is THE religion of GOD...Now, that is the worst kind of hypocrisy...
If people would think for themselves the world would not be in this mess of fighting over religion. Poeple are to scared to "not worship" God for fear that they might be wrong in not believing. Use your head and be happy with what you come up with. If you believe that aliens landed here and planted us, so be it, keep it to your self and go about your life.
Originally there was god and Adam and Eve. Yada Yada down to Noah. Flood...ark..then after theflood there was Noah, his 3 Sons and their wives..8 people. Noahs 3 sons were Ham, Japeth, and Shem. From the name Shem comes the word "Semitic" all descendants of Shem are SEMITIC. Now one of Shem's descendents through Eber (Hebrews) was Abraham. Abraham had his first son by an Egyptian slave girl and named him ISHMAEL. Even the Quran confirms the arab nations come from this bloodline. Later Abe had a second son by his wife named Isaac. Isaac married and his wife had twins. Esau was borns a few minutes before Jacob. So Esau was 1st born and had the birthright. Later however Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of lentils (yum lol). But Esau still thought he would receive his father's blessing on his deathbed. But Isaac was dying and blind and blessed Jacob instead and Jacob became the heir to Abraham's covenant with God. God changes Jacob name to ISRAEL and Esau's to EDOM.Esau then marries the daughter of Ishmael(father of the Arabs)Throughout the rest of the Old Testament the Edomites (Esaus descendants)despise Israel (the descendents of jacob)and try to Take the kingdom because they claim the Birthright that Esau traded greedily. Eventually Israel gets into trouble worshiping baal and sacrificing their children to Molech(it was fashionable at the time in other kingdoms) So God lets Israel get invaded first by Assyria (at this point israel is split into a northern,w/ 10 tribes and southern kingdom w/2tribes). Assyria takes all 10 of the Northern tribes and history loses track of them forever. a century later the southern tribe Called Judah (hence Jews) is captured by babylon and held captive for seventy years. so the Land was empty but not for long, Israels enemies rejoiced and took the empty kingdom...these were hittites, moabites, ammonites, and EDOMITES. After 70 years the captive JEWS were released and allowed to go home but they found the cities being lived in by their enemies. They were accepted back and married the various people there and brought back from babylon all sorts of rituals(asrology, qabbala, a rough version of what became the talmud..etc)God forsook them for their sin. 400 years later God makes a way for these desecrations to be forgiven. instead of a passover lamb he came to be the lamb himself. There was a handful of true jews left at that point. Phariseeism(a mixture of true judaism and babylonian cult worship)
After centuries the edomites thought they finally got their birthright back and now Some dude comes along and tries to mess with it. So they tried to stop it. But God had come to earth as a man to take away the sins of man and to reveal his secret name..JESUS CHRIST. And ever since then they have tried to keep that birthright taht god doesnt even care about anymore...he opened the doors to the gentiles. they hated that because it made them less special. During the next 1500 years the Talmud was crafted to make sure future generations didnt forget who they really were and who their enemies were. They built a plan for vengence into their children's religion hoping that someday esau would prevail over jacob.
Jesus a Jew? Do you mean of the tribe of Judah he put David on the throne of? Yes he was. Do you mean he practised the religion he created? Yes he did. Does that mean he was the same as today's group of people who say they are jews and are not? No he was not. They are Edomites.
They are only partially Semitic as a matter of fact. Anyone ever heard of Arabs being called Anti-semitic? I have. And i think it's a funny thing to say about fellow Semites(descended from Shem). Everyone on this planet who is either white, hispanic, arabic, italian, or slovic or has ANY of these ethnicities is semetic and can not be anti-semetic(unless they have a self-loathing complex). The only non-semites are peoples of Asian,Native American, or African descent.
I think it is important to note that in all these religions God's message is of love and forgiveness, I still don't understand why people from the different religions are so hatefull and murderous. Look at the buddhists who most people think worship an idol, no holy wars, no persercution of people of other religions, no so called crusades. There is something seriously wrong with the way we interpret the message from the almighty in all three religions.
According to the Bible here's the quick break down:
We all started with the same God.
In the Old Testament, a man named Abraham wanted to have children and God told him that he would grant him that desire. Abraham and a woman named Hagar had a son named Ishmael. Abraham and a woman named Sarah had a son named Issac.
Here's the first split: Muslims believe they are the seed of Ishmael, Jews and Christians believe they are the seed of Isaac.
Now, the Christians and the Jews are in agreement until the New Testament, when Jesus comes onto the scene.
Here's the second split:
Christians and Jews both were told that a savior would come. Christians believe that Jesus was the savior, Jews believe that Jesus was a prophet but not "the" savior.
So, there you are in a nutshell. The deciding factor is whether or not you believe in Jesus.
Muslims do not believe in the same God as the Bible because they don't believe that Jesus was the son of God.
Jews agree with the same God in the first half of the Bible, but not the second half that says Jesus is the son of God.
And Christians believe in
the God in the entire Bible that claims Jesus was the son of God and one with God.
At one time those three religions shared the same God. Now, according to the Bible, they do not.
God is God, however we choose to prove or practice our faith, whatever we choose to call him, he's just there being him...or her

Islam, Christianity and Judaism all share a common heritage and most of their basic beliefs are pretty similar, with only minor variations.
The problem is, none of them can hack that and so have spent centuries trying to obliterate one another, and often everyone else too.
All three share their roots in the old testament, there is little difference between their doctorine, though their cultures have developed differently due to circumstance, their underlying doctorine remains broadly similar.

Wrong, Muslims worship no such "moon god" - you're confusing yourself with the pre-Islamic pagan Arabs. All Christains, Jews, Muslims, Sabians, and Zoarostrians worship the same Abrahamic God - the only difference is, they associate different attributes to God (i.e: the Christians think God is a Trinity, while Muslims and Jews believe God is a Unity etc.)
To all the Jews and Christains who say Muslims worship Satan - you are slandering your own God you idiots. It doesn't matter whether Muslims believe Jesus is the son of God or not - we believe in the same God (i.e: "the Father") that gave relevations to all of His Messengers and Prophets mentioned in your own scriptures - if you think that God is the Devil, then by all means take your place in Hell. You have brought it upon yourself.
Don't forget other monotheistic faiths in history:
Akhenaton, Pharaoh of Egypt, instituted worship of Aton alone as God.
Zoroastrianism, which refers to god as Ahura Mazda (the Wise Spirit).
Sikhs are also monotheists. Their motto is "Ek Onkar", which is Punjabi for "God is one".
The Algonquians of North America have Manitou, also known as the Great Spirit.
Roma (Gypsies) have a traditional monotheistic faith originating in India. Their one God is called Del.
