WOULD YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE INFECTED WITH HERPES IN ORDER TO BE WITH THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE?

I went over to a friend's house yesterday for some coffee and gossip, and boy did I get an earful. It turns out that a friend of my friend has herpes and contracted it from her husband before they were married. He told her up front that he had herpes, and she knowingly allowed herself to be infected with the disease. She said that he was her "true love" which is why she allowed this to happen.

Would you allow yourself to be infected with herpes in order to be with the love of your life?

I could never allow that to happen
I did knowingly allow that to happen
I would take that risk for the love of my life
Not sure

Both of my fathers and several uncles taught me one line, early and often.

"No glove, no love."

I love intelligence in a man. Allowing oneself to get herpes is not very intelligent.

A guy that wanted to be with my ex let this happen to him. thankfully I'm in the clear. It's a bit odd and no mistake!!!

#1 I believe that children resulting from such a sexual union could have impaired health.

#2. One needs to love and HONOR one's own being in order to be able to love and honor another's.

#3. Marriages sometimes end in divorce. Where is one going to find another addlepated mate willing to get sick for "love"?

#4. If someone really loves you, he or she would not want you to get sick to prove you love them.

#5. A need so strong to be with someone that one would risk health and life IS NOT LOVE. It's obsession. Obsession is a very heavy and tedious responsibility to the other partner.
