Is there a definative difference?
It is not a Godly symbol, as the Pentagram is the symbol of the Godhead, Typically Idendified with witchcraft and magic, The Pentagon, might be interpreted as the God symbol to providing salvation to the repentant.
Six is typically associated with the number of man, are we to interpret that as we are Godly?
Satan is ascribed as One who impersonates God. So what numeric value should we associate him with?
God's numeric value is 7, meaning complete. As in the 7th day of creation. 6, is associated with the number of man, On the sixth day, God created man. 5, is associated with the Godhead, Protection, as is the Badge of the military Generals, opposed to the municiple law, or the police.

As I understand it, the Jewish people did not wear the Jewish star before the holocaust times. I think it was considered an evil sign or a sign associated with evil, and for this reason, they were forced to wear this them to indicate they were "evil Jews". I guess they kept the symbol as a reminder of what they went through. This is what I read somewhere or heard on TV. I don't recall which. So, yes, I think it was thought to be an evil sign but the Jewish people made something good from it.
