Voted : I would want to live there
We moved from a semi city world to the country life of cow poop. I miss the city :(
Voted : I am nostalgic about the place but I would not want to live there
I own the house I was brought up in but rent it out. When it came up for sale I couldn't resist buying it, for the reasons you mention, but I wouldn't want to live there.

no, I had the chance but couldn't, I would like to be able to take my kids there someday so they can see where I lived as a child.

Maybe a visit to some of them. I was an Air Force brat until I was 12 and lived in whole lot of different places though. Some nice, and some not so nice.

Most of my childhood was spent in Lafayette, Indiana. I feel no attachment to the place anymore as I absolutely LOVE Minnesota. A few years ago after having been gone from Indy for about 7 or 8 years, I did go back to visit my brother and we went through the old neighborhood and saw the old house. Many of the few things I remembered positively had changed. Old basketball hoop was gone, favorite neighbor was gone, favorite fishing creek had been overrun by rough fish. I think my best childhood memories are all at my grandparents house in Wisconsin where I used to spend my summers. I wouldn't mind living out there by all the family some day.
That's a tough one.. I've lived in 39 places!
no, not that it was bad, but last I checked, it turned into a high rise complex and a stadium...
