WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU MANAGED TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM CERTAIN DEATH?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU MANAGED TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM CERTAIN DEATH?

[+] ballot by LCD
ACTIVE Sun Nov 01, 09 - Mon Nov 01, 10

I was reading up on the web how 50% of people in my condition never wake up/die.

being on the other side, the lucky one, I am beginning to make some real changes.

first of all, in one month I have lost 30lbs. All of a sudden, I don't have the desire to eat big meals. I used to like to tune into family guy reruns, as well as two and a half man episodes. No more. I don't watch TV.

today, I finished some task that I have been procrastinating for about 9 months.
you know what, for a guy with a hole in his brain I am feeling pretty darn tootin good.

I feel reborn. I feel I can walk the earth with a renewed confidence.

how would you change your life if you just saved yourself from certain death?

I would stay the same way I was before. No changes.
Have a more positive outlook on life
Who knows? The brain makes up its own rules.
Try to make the most of the time I have left

Sometimes it takes a close call like that for a person to make positive changes in their life.

I had an artery blockage in my knee back in '96 and underwent surgery and it prompted me to be more realistic about being mortal and cut back on unnecessary things like alcohol, smoking basically "wasting" time on things that more than likely is a trade off on your longevity... I have an agenda that I doubt I can complete but getting as far along with it as I can is fulfilling... keeping in mind we are all an accident away from death at any given time, it looms on the "horizon" as we get on in age and watch so many others "cross over"...

Ta. I didn't really know him that well though, they got together last year and I'd only met him about half a dozen times. His hemorrage was excellerated due to being on warfarin to thin his blood.
