The job of the President of a country, corporation, or organization is to project postiveness.
That is why when the economy is down, sales are down, membership is down, they all avoid stating the obvious and says uplifting things to provide hope.
If the leader says things and REALL BAD it confirms the worst FEARS that everybody has and people to overreacting and going off the deep end.
A doomsday comment from a leader cans cause Stock Market selloff, product sales to drop, membership to drop, etc.
So that is why leaders avoid stating the obvious when things a bad.

No, Grapest, the job of the President of a country is NOT to project positiveness. It is to not waste money and to keep people safe. Unless you are talking about Iran, etc.
