When I was at school I used to carve elaborate celtic inverted crucifixes in my arm. But it wasn't a cry for attention and I had no intention of cutting anything dangerous. It was purely boredom and attention seeking on a different level. Certainly I dont look back on it with anything other than mild amusement.
