I read in my history books
First of all it was the US Vs. the British Empire, not England. England hasn't existed as a sovereign nation since 1707. The end result was Status quo ante bellum, as stipulated in the Treaty of Ghent, meaning no one won or lost, and diplomatic relations and territorial boundries went back the way they were before.

British Empire started with England. You cannot say that all the subjects of the British empire were at was with the USA. I know what the treaty says. Truth is more important. Soldiers did not die on both the sides for nothing.
