'Some people never say hello. I have actually gotten angry with a couple of people who I directy said hello to, we made eye contact and they did not respond. ' I reckon if someone says hello you should always respond
Voted : I feel obligated to say "Hello" to everyone I know.
Feeling obligated doesn't mean I oblige everytime
'I reckon if someone says hello you should always respond' That makes sense. When people don't respond they are just being rude. Personally, after a couple of tries I don't attempt saying hello to these people anymore.
Imagine nobody acknowledging you
Voted : Saying "Hello" is unnecessary and pointless. I don't say it.
If we already met, you already know I can't stand the pretentious, sheeple mentality, so piss on social courtesy, 'Save it for someone who cares', is my barbaric Motto. BTW, Hello. I expect a damn answer!
Voted : I say "Hello" if I feel like it.
But it is usually replaced by "good morning" or "good afternoon," etc. I usually reserve a greeting to one per day per person. It is important to acknowledge the presence of others. That having been said, if you or someone else doesn't reciprocate acknowledgement I will probably cease with the formality in that case after a couple of tries to initiate it.

Hello everyone.
Voted : I feel obligated to say "Hello" to everyone I know.
its just courtesy
Consider yourself lucky it means people are glad to see you. When I go to work NOBODY says hello or good morning to me.
