Well an organization called "Muslims for Progressive Values" applauded Obama's announcement but muslims constitute one of the smaller minorities in America, Obama should be more concerned about the Latino and African-American votes. African-Americans and Latinos -- groups which seem to have gravitated towards Obama as opposed to the GOP by large margins -- are statistically much more opposed to same-sex marriage than European-Americans, in fact, of all the Black voters who voted in California's prop 8 measure in 2008 to strip the LGBT community of their civil liberties, 70% voted yes, and 53% of the latino vote followed suit. Elderly voters were also much more likely to approve of the measure than younger voters.
Sure. They are equal opportunity head-cutter-offers.
