America (U.S.A. that is) won't be the greatest country if the immigrants did not come here. And one of the biggest reason the U.S. is great is because people from different walks of life united as one. It is the most diversed country in the world.

As long as they have something of value to contribute to the country they are immigrating to, they should be welcomed. Western countries need immigration due to the low birth rates.
Come to Canada, we are more diverse, multicultural, and we are a better country.

Anyone can come, but they have to do it LEGALLY. Any illegals should be rounded up and tossed at the nearest border.
I agree that immigrants should be expected to obey the laws, work and contribute to society, and participate in American democracy.
But who cares whatever language they speak at home or in public? They should learn English, yes, but there's no way another language can threaten the American way of life. Switzerland does just fine with three national languages, and Russia and India's problems can hardly be blamed on linguistic or cultural diversity. Should be be like China which forces Mandarin on everybody, especially other "Chinese" language speakers?
i don't think it should even be bound by skill level. a person can't help if he has had a poor education. in some countries you have to pay for all of you schooling. we don't need just the wealthy. but if you immigrate you should assimilate quickly and become a regular american. i think having lots of variety is cool.

My parents are one of them. They are hard working people. What is this threat that Americans wont find jobs? Go to college and you wont be threatened by an immigrant.
