COMMENTS:
For those who don't know what the differences are:

* Republicans say "Merry Christmas!" Democrats say "Happy Holidays!"
* Republicans help the poor during the holidays by sending $50 to the Salvation Army. Democrats help the poor by giving $50, one buck at a time, to panhandlers on the street.
* Democrat men like to watch football while the women cook meals. On this, Republicans are in full agreement.
* Republicans see nothing wrong with letting their children play "Cowboys and Indians." Democrats don't either, as long as the Indians win.

And read this story:
A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card, and told him to come to the business for a job. He then took out $20 and gave it to the homeless person.
The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help.
He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the
welfare office. He then reached into the republican's pocket and got out $20. He kept $15 for administrative fees and gave the homeless person $5.

Now you understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

Well, we could start the GOP/Liberal arguments but neither party would ever agree, its like arguing over religion. However, I think if both sides would put their heads together we could get somewhere. It doesnt always have to be about abortion, and gays and gun control, something should be left to the states. If you are in a state where you dont like the rules on gun, abortion, gays. Then move. When it comes to the budget it would be hard to work with both sides but sheez, lets try to do something right instead of planning a multizillion dollar trip to MARS!
by duckhead on Tue Jan 20, 04 3:13pm [+]

uuuhh...what about the Green Party?
by mememe on Tue Jan 20, 04 4:31pm [+]

In a real democracy there's more choices than that.
by Jigsaw on Tue Jan 20, 04 10:09pm [+]

Neither. I am a White National Socialist.
"Proud to be, and you should be"
by xxxxxxxx on Wed Jan 21, 04 12:23pm [+]

I'm always glad to meet another Libertarian. Yes, both major parties are rascals, just in different ways...
by Felix on Wed Jan 21, 04 11:02pm [+]

I'm a socialist too (just a regular socialist, not a "White" one..?) but since I live in American and I don't want to feel ashamed of my country I vote (hope) for the Democrats.
by x__ on Thu Jan 22, 04 7:55am [+]

hm... let me think...
by xxxxxxxx on Thu Jan 22, 04 8:52am [+]

WOW...so far, it's neck-to-neck...50 votes a piece for the Republican idiots and the Democrat dumbasses.

And by the way, those of you who are otherwise, don't waste your time putting your party in the comments because let's face it...these 2 are the ones who control America. And when was the last time a "Green" person sat in the White House? Yeah...I thought so. So shut the fuck up and vote, mothafuckers!
by stranger7800 on Thu Jan 22, 04 11:20am [+]

it's the light and the dark side. Only a civil war would settle this but the republicans have bigger guns and thicker walls so hey let's all go to Hell together :D
by x__ on Thu Jan 22, 04 11:34am [+]

I'm pretty strait down the middle politically. But Bush is the worst person I have ever seen to hold public office. Hopefully, the democrats will nominate an electable moderate, and send Bush back to his ranch in Texas.
by xxxxxxxx on Thu Jan 22, 04 1:56pm [+]

I'm a SMART PERSON (in other words a Democrat...)

Oh my God! I've never seen a poll as close as this one.

Is this gonna be decided by the old folks in Florida again? Do we need a re-count?

By the way, why is everybody so negative? Isn't "someone" happy about something? Just one person! Damn, what pessimists! I've never heard someone talk about the amazing recovery of our country, the U.S., after the devastation of 9/11. I've never heard someone talk about how well the education has improved in terms of students scores compared to last year's. How about the fact that Afghanistan children can now go to school and get decent education and not be worried if some Taliban dude will shoot them in the head because they're not wearing their stupid burkas...thanks to the Americans...and the Afghans are now enjoying some freedom that they never even thought of. And now that U.S., Germany, Canada, Australia, and France are cooperatively signing Iraq rebuilding contracts...has someone in this moronic poll even mentioned it?

Goddammit! I'm just pissed that nobody cares anymore! So, FUCK YOU ALL, YOU BASTARDS!!!

by white_devil on Fri Jan 23, 04 9:45pm [+]

i can't stand either, we need more independants in the government, they might actually care about the people who voted for them more than the values of their party

It's strange how American politics is skewed so far to the right that in the UK I vote conservative but in the USA I would vote Democrat.
by TheTruth on Sun Jan 25, 04 4:44pm [+]

Bassed on thwe chooses I will say democrate, as I agree more often with their views, but I belong to neither party.
by Wolverine68 on Sun Jan 25, 04 9:02pm [+]

Hey, the Guest above me ^ you're exactly right. These people just don't get it. If you're none of these 2 choices...let's face it, you're gonna be treated like crap. Your opinions in your community or in a national level will be ignored, and more importantly, your votes will just help either of these two parties because the votes will be divided. Remember Ralph Nader, the Green dude? George W should thank him over and over because Ralph is the reason (not Florida) why Georgie won.
by stranger7800 on Mon Jan 26, 04 2:22pm [+]

I'm probably closer to a democrat; however, I really don't believe in the party system. I think it's absurd; when voting, it should be who you think is better, not what party they're in.
by Lizzy on Mon Feb 02, 04 1:09pm [+]

A Democrat looks at a half of a glass of water and sees it as being half empty.

A Libertarian looks at a half of a glass of water and sees it as being half full.

A Republican looks at a half of a glass of water and says "Hey, who drank half of my water?".

I'm registered Independent. The better questionis where do your political beliefs fall, they land in the left area for the most part. However if you only vote based on partities than your not a good voter, anyone agree?
by doen5167 on Tue Feb 24, 04 7:02pm [+]

Maybe you guys would find yourself agreeing with either party if you would take the time to read their platform on their websites.
by JMitus on Tue Feb 24, 04 7:55pm [+]

Ok OK, You all are whining about this and that but one Anonymous dude said it better than any of you, So Im just going to quote him because Im an idiot: "You know you're a Republican if you:

Lie consistently, spend beyond your limits like there's no tomorrow, take massive amounts of tax revenue from the Northeastern and West Coast states and spend the federal welfare on the Southern states; are addicted to gambling or OxyContin; dodged the draft; have a couple DWIs; have done tons of coke; are a segregation-supporting racist but statutorily raped a black teenager; are obsessed with gay people; are obsessed with Bill Clinton - nearly 4 years on - and lying about his oval office BJ (6 years on) while Republicans like Bush Sr, Henry Hyde, Newt Gingrich, Bob Packwood cheat on their wives, rape women (Jim Bakker) or see hookers (Jimmy Swaggart); were obsessed with Gary Condit's dead intern but ignore much more suspicious case of Joe Scarborough's dead intern; favor cutting veteran's benefits; send young men and women to war but never attend a KIA funeral or visit a veteran's hospital; hate jews but support Israel; support un-American policies but wrap yourself in the flag; are the walking definition of the word "hypocrite"; are in Hell at this moment. Amazing results! U.S. is really divided.
by stranger7800 on Fri Mar 19, 04 8:50pm [+]

Thanks but I'm staying here, dude! No better country to live at than the U.S. of A. PERIOD! Millions of people may not agree with me, but what you think doesn't matter because what I have just said is not my opinion...it's an indubitable fact! Arabs and Europeans and Chinese and Russians and whatever you are...go ahead, blow up yourselves hoping that you will take a couple of Americans with you to your graves. Does that make your country better than mine? No. And never!

I'm a republocrat.
by Dingleberry on Sun Mar 21, 04 7:29am [+]

I'm a Democrat, but don't mistake that for a stupid Liberal. I can't stand Liberals, they are the most ignorant group of people in the U.S. Since the Democratic party has been taken over by Liberals, you can bet that I'll be casting my vote for Republicans now. Bush for president! Kerry is a worthless Liberal even hated by his Vietnam buddies.

by Toxacated on Tue Mar 23, 04 11:18am [+]

Like it used to be? You mean like how the Civil War was actually between the Democrats ( South ) and the Republicans ( North )? The two parties have never gotten along. As far as Canada goes, you couldn't move anywhere more to the Liberal left in the world. So if you move there, I hope that's what you would want.
by Toxacated on Sat Mar 27, 04 7:48pm [+]

OMG, evenly divided!

by nmrtn77 on Sat Sep 13, 08 6:46pm [+]

NEITHER ONE.
I wouldn't Want to be either one..! I am INDEPENDENT, and we need More Independents in this country, in public and private office..! The Old parties Stink, they are outdated and stagnant, traditional but ridiculous..! Demo-craps and Re-pubic-ans, yucko and phooey! We need brand new and effective and intelligent and realistic and objective ways of looking at and dealing with things, for the benefit of everyone and not just the favored few..! Money should not rule everything..! Money IS ruling everything..! And who is in charge, just a handful (percentage wise) of people with power and influence and control (and usually money) who lord it over us and treat us like puppets and slaves, If they notice us at all, which normally they do not..!
Independents For America, far out with the Old, far in with the New..! A Eutopia is possible, happiness and well-being for all the people, now and forever, yea men..!
