The U.S. would blow Canada up before the first Russian boat made it to port in your harbor! I'm not trying to run my mouth or start an argument, I'm serious. The U.S. would consider that a threat on its border. Use some common since, the U.S. would probably actually wipe Canada out even if it ment going nuclear before they let the Russians that close to its border. Kennedy was about to go nuclear against Russia itself over sneaking nukes into Cuba for first strike purposes against the U.S. What do you think the U.S. would do now?
I can see Toronto now, a big hole in the ground. Dont think Russia would protect you against the U.S. either. They had many chances to clash with the U.S. and wouldn't do it, because they know what would happen to the U.S. and Russia. ( The World Actually ) There will be no world left the day the U.S. and Russia go at it, because nukes would be used eventually and both sides have enough to destroy the entire world many times over.

that would be great, and far more cost effective, but you would never get Canadians or Latin Americans to give up their sovereignty to US masters. This is stupid. China, although Communist, is actually embracing US investment in their country. China is actually now closer to being a Western ally than any time
in the past. They also have had problems with Islamic fundamentalist terrorists, and wanted to help the USA, not just because of September 11, because it would be mutually beneficial to them, if they could exchange information about
Muslim militants. I think China could be another Russia potentially, where it eventually shifts from Communism to a republic or
parliamentary democracy.
USA doesn't want to go to war with China for numerous reasons, namely, the damage China could inflict on the USA, and the fact, China is a huge market that has yet to reach its' full potential.

economy. It's only a matter of time before they become the world's largest economy, surpassing the USA, since they have the population. India is another country that is making inroads too, but they already are the world's largest democracy,
and they are less of a threat to the USA than China, but the USA's problem is that they are
allies with Pakistan, whose government is
controlled by the Pakistan military. India and Pakistan have never got along, despite attempts by both countries to improve their relationship, because of differences in religion, government, and also the Kashmir dispute.

Yes, we'd both be totally invincible. But though I'm American, the gov. needs to get that stick out of its ass and admit that they are not responsible for all victory.
