Because the English recognise the qualities of the other nations and try to be inclusive, whereas the other two nations, unfortunately, have chips on their shoulder. For the record, I love both Scotland and Wales, but there's an inferiority complex going on in both.

Because England has the mainstream culture.

For the same reason, Quebecois will emphasise their province more, Basques their regional identity, etc. It is about being in the less powerful, less influential, and somewhat subordinate culture.

'Idiot. England, Scotland and Wales ARE Britain.'

- Obviously, the majority of voters did not understand the question. Of course England, Scotland and Wales are all part of Britain. WHICH IS WHY the issue is brought up as to why English people are more inclined to identify themselves with the greater whole more so, while Scots and Welsh give a bigger emphasis on specified regional identity.

I think english people are english and are not British because there's a diference between English and British people.

I'm British first and English second.
The reason the Welsh and Scottish don't like the English is because a disproportionate amount of tax money went into England, and the other 3 regions were left with far less money. I think it's changed now, but attitudes have not because the rest of Britain is unforgiving. they really need to let go of the past.

I am glad I'm English though; I 'm extremely thankful I'm not Scottish tbh, I'd sooner move to France than Scotland.
