I am amazed and appalled, mildly annoyed, revolted, by people's, mainly men's, gross involvement with 'sports'..!! As though 'points', 'scores', 'winning', 'losing', 'standings', 'teams', 'players', 'statistics'.. and all the rest.. Really Matter..!! "Ultimately", 'sports' do NOT 'really matter'..!! in my estimation..!! [They are a silly temporary diversion..!!].

Sports are Extremely Important!
Sports do not especially matter
Sports make some people very rich
Sports are fun, healthy, harmless, entertainment
There are Many things in life Far more important than sports
Sports fans are morons, mouthing meaningless facts and figures
Sports is right up there with, or above, God, government, family, everything
Hockey is life
They Don't Matter At All!

COMMENTS:
Sports are just another product. Just like beer, cars, corn flakes, hamburgers and movies. Each games is just a 3 hour commercial for the product. The announcers are all paid by the teams and their jobs it to promote the sport and the team with their commentary. The newspapers only report it because it sells newspapers to those that have been brainwashed into believing Sports and "important." It's just a form on entertainment. Important, NO WAY!

I enjoy baseball, but I certainly don't think it's of any great importance.
