Palestinians want to take back land that had been taken in war. So you agree, crusades and jihads are the same.
The crusades were ultimately a barbarous attempt to control the middle east. All though in theory they were well intentioned and just, they were riddled with attempts by petty lords to achieve personal greatness and wealth. Those who justify their disdain for Jihad on the basis that the crusade has long been abandoned whereas Jihad has'nt should note that no Muslim power has tanks parked outside their window.

Crusades were military expeditions by Christian rulers to take back the land taken by the Muslims. Jihad is a much wide term meaning 'struggle against vice or evil'. Jihad can be against any evil, the biggest Jihad being the one against one's own illicit desires. Mistakenly, nonMuslims take Jihad in only military terms, which is just a type of Jihad, specifically known as "Qidaal". Therefore, the two are not the same thing. And Jihad cannot be called off as fight against evil will continue the Day of Judgement.

OJD(above)calls the crusades "just". THose chritians slaughtered the entire population of Jerusalem(35,000 at the time) when they took the city. Christians are more violent than muslims. Dont forget, the nazis were christians too.
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG, the qoran never specifically targets civilians, in fact, the qoran specifically states that 'those who kill the innocent' meaning non combatives, women, children, and men, shall suffer the same fate that was delivered to the innocent 'a thousand times over in hell'. But the poor idiot terrorists who kill innocent people, they are too stupid to know the whole qoran and instead are brainwashed by those who take little bits of the islam religion and twist it all around till it's not even about religion or spirituality anymore, but it's all about greed, money, and power. That's all Bin Laden cares about, is power, he wants NAME RECOGNITION, he doesn't care about Allah or the afterlife, or even about muslims in general, all he knows how to do is fight, and by picking the United States as an enemy, he is able to continue fighting. He just uses Islam as a thinly veiled guise to suit his own greedy personal means.
It's a big subject to study but in simple terms. The early Jihads of war or "holy war" were aggresive conquests and invasions by Muslims to subdue unbelievers, all for the expasion and spread of Islam. In contrast, the Crusades were Christian armies coming to the defence of these conqured Christian lands to repel these invading and occupying Muslims.

I recommend that you read the Quran much more closely. How can anyone justify these hate-laden verses of Quran? They are not even respectful of peoples right to choose and not even respectful of their lives. But I do respect peoples right to choose and their lives.

A jihad is quite amateurish but the muslims increase the horror for the buck (=more death and mutilation for smaller bombs). They also suicide bomb (=smart bombs). It's by pure stupidity ("in the name of Allah"). Muslims are happy when one of their buddies fight for Allah.
A crusade is more professional: organized armies, hi-tek, etc. Most of the time its masqueraded as "not religious". Of course its still a little dogmatic but the main goal is profit (like Oil, Armament industries contracts, etc).
A crusade is understandable: people profit from it... And it cleans the planet from sandn****rs.

Jihad is Islamic consept that means defend the rights of muslims and attack the enemy. BUT Jihad have stipulations that the muslim dont have the right of killing children, woman and old people.
