COMMENTS:
Religion is simple social control and fulfills psychological needs of the human animal. .. Science is man's attempt at undertsanding the real natural world around him.

Religious belief is the worst basis for morality imaginable. How can any belief system based on faith be moral? Faith can justify any horrible act imaginable. For example, the Muslim faithful have perpetrated horrific acts of violence not only in Israel, but in the United Sates as well. Christians have faithfully killed many Iraqi women and children in what the President has called a "Crusade." WAKE UP!! Religious morality leads to suffering and death. How many centuries of misery do we need to endure before we realize that religion is to blame? Science provides an exciting alternative to blind acceptance of religious dogma. Learn more about science if you want to help other people. Science is the only thing that has ever benefited humanity.

the only good religions are nature religions: the one's that teach to look after the world and respect all around you. But science tends to make more sense of the world.

Only in political spin do they become entwined. What can be done scientifically (especially if profit is involved) will be done somewhere. Also, there is nothing scientific about the Taliban. Although, I was not against sending the Union of Concerned Scientist to Afghanistan to talk some sense into them

Good question. It's the ages-old conundrum of that mystical arena where science finds God.

Like a child, you can play.

People do not need to be religios to have morals and consider ethical issues that occur in science. and i dont think religion makes people crazy so science cant stop religion from making people crazy.

No, governments use both, religion and science, to commit the worst atrocities.

I agree with half... I don't think many religions can drive you insane... maybe some. I think religion keeps some human beings from getting carried away with sick human nature of trying to play God...
