The Unitarians have a take it or leave it approach. In other words, your spirituality is ultimately up to you and what you make of it.

Many protestant christians don't realize they are following the butchered King James version of the Bible - and, as with all religions, many turn to it for absolute answers and want nothing else to interfere with their blissful happiness. The funny part is, Jesus was born and died a Jew and a scholar... If he wanted to found a religion in his name, he had the means to put pen to paper and write it for himself... He wasn't trying to start a religion, he was spreading simple social philosophy - like, ummm, be nice and share...

Self rightiousness and religious dogma is a natural psychological defense mechansims to ambiguity or insecurity. It is not limited to humans who call themselves "christians" any cult or religious group can occur from such pyschological process.
Fear... Nothing wrong with having true Christian belief, but obedience to a Church of any kind (rather than to your God) is asking for it. Churches are run by puny corruptible humans after all.
Yes I made a mistake when I created this poll. I did not mean to pick on christians in particular but rather menat religion as a whole.
If you think Christianity is nonsense, just wait until you read the Quran and about the history of Islam. It will frighten the "hell" out of you!
