Gee, ya THINK???
Everyone is brianwashed about something, all we have to base our decitions on is what we were taught by our parents, the media, priests, books which have opinions that will favour whatever way you want to see things. Very few people have origional thoughts. Its mostly just opinions.

people who call themselves "christians" are just normal people who are trying to find certainty in a complex world. Generally these people are types that cannot tolerate ambiguity. It also answers their question of death and gives themselves a sense of significance that they cannot otherwise get in the real world. Simple human psychology and social control.
Complete and total indoctrination. We are all taught to believe in Santa Claus from birth, and we do, until our family tells us otherwise. The families of the Christians just kept on brainwashing them. They are spreading ignorance, and I shall destroy them all.
Sounds like more bigotry to me.
I don't think all christians are brainwashed. Some "born again" christians are religious fanatics, but for the most part christians tend to think for themselves.
We're all brainwashed to some extent by lots of sources. Trick is to think for yourself. Remember, truth is relative. If anyone, any religion tells you they've got "The TRUTH," that's your cue to back away. Truth has many many sides. That's why religions, who claim to corner the market on truth, argue and fight and argue and yet can't back anything up with proof or actual facts per se. Think for yourself.
"Truth is not relative. Truth is absolute. Two and two make four." Truth is just a concept, and 99,9...% people fail to see that. There are just concepts that your mind attach "Truth" on it. Don't trick yourself into think you have the absolute truth... Everyone think that but most of them have different "truths" that you. Even modern science do not think of "truth" as an absolute, all knowledge is a model (point of view) the goal is to make a better mode (better point of view), then another, then another... And there are different paradigm. There is no absolute knowledge "out there" that is waiting to get into our brains. We just create models based on feedback and share them.
"Try it for yourself." Oh nice, an invitation for brainwashing
It's actually simple human psychology. There are a number of reasons why people resort to religious myth. They may have hit rock bottom in their lives and use religious myth as a psychological defense mechanism. They may feel a sense of significance that they otherwise don't get in the real world. Religious myth answers the question of death and may promote social solidarity. Religious myth is also a great form of social control, especially in terms of controlling the uneducated masses. You have to remember that up until modern times, most of humanity was illiterate, and religious myth was the best way to keep people in line.
I'm a catholic and they probably do brain wash people but i'm to lazy to listen during the sermons so i'm good!

The two and two makes four anology is flawed. Two and two may make four in a strict Euclidian method, however 2 and 2 may make other totals if percieved precepts, pedantic I know, but thought I would interject. As to brainwashing, well as all religions are cults, some brainwashing is inherent.
No. brainwashing is a thing cults do, all christians (well most of them) do is pray to jesus and start studying the bible and stuff theres no cult like brainwashing there.

how many Christian suicide bombers do you see blowing up themselves and others in the name of Jesus?
The Evangelists are registering to vote by the busloads just so they can all vote for Bush in November. Isn't that precious!

The worst evidence of their brainwash is that some of them honestly believe they are monotheistic, but at the same time believe in trinity. They say 'No you don't understand, its like time, past present future are three but all of them together is time No I don't buy it. God isn't like time. God isn't 'like' anything. Time is time and God is God. But alas.. the brainwashed christian...
People who call themselves "christians" are generally good people. However a majority of them are just lowlife hypocrits who's only way to gain a sense of significance is through self rightiousness and religious fantasy. To those who just meditate on jesus and are secure with yourselves, then my first sentence does not apply to you. Have a nice day : )
I think hat kids believe what their parents tell them, this isn't only true for Christians. It is unfortunante that allot of kids are raised i nPublic schools being taught lies of evolution, and that it is proven by science when they are so young and don't know any better. I don't think that even if kids believe what their parents tell them about God, that somehow reflects on the Bible and what it teaches. To say Christians are brainwashed so that disproves their argument is only an attempt to get past the infallible word of God, the Bible. Thank you so much.
*revised version* I think that kids believe what their parents tell them; this isn't only true for Christians. It depends which Christians you mean. I think moderates in religion are generally sane people who will entertain the thought of differing opinions, and are willing to listen to them. The hardcore fundamentalist wackos are, but most people who are into some form of religion are probably fairly rational individuals. The ones who think their religion is the only true religion are.
Self rightiousness is a psychological complex that is not uniqe to 'christians'. Most religionist or radicals exhibit a fear of ambiguity, insecurity, and intollerance toward any opposing view that shatters their illusions of grandeur. They reach the peak of their aberated psychosis when they engage in violence, whether it be in the form of a suicide bombing or conducting an illegal war in Iraq or pushing for their self fulfilling "rapture". I recommend reading (Battle for the mind) a book on the psychological underpinnings of illogical convictions and pseudo-religionist brainwashing.
Everyone has been brain washed into believing their own religion
absolutely not
It's not brainwashing at all. Whether you believe in God or not is your business and nobody else's. The Constitution does give everybody freedom of religion and whether or not you act upon it is, like I said, your business.
Christianity was responisble for the dark ages. Any questions?
