No. Church and state should be kept separate. That might be threatened if a member of religious clergy became President...
What about the people in power whose religion only seems to be based on money? Forced prayer is better than dead babbies over oil...
There is no law preventing them from running.
Frighead, to not let religious clergymen run for public office would be against the first amendment. "congress shall make no law respecting establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
