Kirk was a hot dog who violated the Prime Directive at least once per episode. If I were ever to find myself in a life or death situation 100 light years from home, I'd far rather have Picard at the helm. ;-)
The who Star Trek universe is a bit too 'clean' for me,and from watching all the various series, the only music thats played is classical. That probably why I always prefered babylon 5, more of a rock N roll universe.
When, no ,IF the human race ever makes it to space, i hope nasa or whoever have help designing the spacecrafts from the people who design the sets in startrek. that would rule. of course practicality comes before looks but it would still be cool!
