Eskies all the way! We have the Grey Cup!
Hoo aboot thoose Tiger-pussies, eh?
They all suck! They couldn't beat an American High School Team!
Actually, there are some high school teams in the U.S. who could beat some of the division 1 college teams. I admit it would be very few, but there are some teams who could. Teams from down in Texas and Florida for one example.
And the players they pick for the CFL aren't just average players either.
Go Blue! We can't win a Grey Cup to save our lives anymore, but I still have faith. I'm happy we've had playoff success and hold the single season winning streak record, but this 13 year drought has got to end!
Division one is the main one here. With teams like Florida, Miami, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska etc. . . Not saying they could beat those teams, but there are high school teams who could and have beaten division 1 teams. If I can find a link, I will post it. There was actually a high school team that beat Texas a couple years ago in a pre season game. I'm not sure if it was Texas, but it was a Texas high school team. This site wont let us post links though, any ideas?
Hey Toxacated, no one's denying the fact that upsets can happen in football. The point is that if a high school team beat a CFL team it would be just that, an upset. The reason we've been arguing with you is that you initially made a sweeping generalization that suggested that CFL teams are inferior to most US high school teams, which is not true. In the vast majority of games, against a vast majority of US high school teams, the CFL team would be victorious. Many CFL players have gone on to have successful NFL careers as well, including Garcia and Flutie (although he's fizzling right now), to name a few. Bottom line, a bunch of 17 and 18 years old kids would usually lose to a group of experienced professionals.
