This happens to me occasionally. I always check to see if it's caused by an outside source of light, but this is never the case. I was just curious as to how common this is.

Its the effect of the 50 or 60 Hz flourescent light that has on your eyes. When you are awake you don't realize it. Change them to Bulbs

Sometimes I sees that dim pulsating light right befores I pass out after my pimp has beated me up for not bringing in 'nuf trick money.

It's weird. It's a translucent kind of light, kind of like how a strobe would look if you close your eyes, only there's no strobe.
