The Patriot Act is the most un-American shit that I have ever read.

I hope you know that even questioning the Patriot Act is considered treason. I advise you to stock up on miniature American flags. They may be your last line of defense.

That is tha most sickening abuse of tha word "patriot" I have ever seen, pasting it on a bill that limits our rights.
by CriminalMinded on Sun Apr 25, 04 11:11pm [+]

My only hope in all this patriot act crap is that people get so fed up that it leads to a big rebellion and ultimately makes America more free and protects civil rights more. That's my hope. But of course right now we've got the opposite.

I think the law should not be named at all. It is a way to dupe the ignorant to believe that the law is really supposed to be patriotic. It's pretty sad how many people bought into it just because it was named "the patriot act". It should be called "the 1984 act" or the "nazi state act".

It is as patriotic as burning the american flag
by AtomicArachnid on Tue Nov 09, 04 4:59pm [+]

To be fair, even though burning the American flag is considered unamerican and offenseive to you're countrymen, it's still allowed, right? Freedom of speech? But how come no outcry over patriot act 1 and 2? I haven't heard any outbursts?
