As to the worst US war, aren't they all bad? Thousands, if you're very lucky, or hundreds of thousands of innocent men, woman and children killed or maimed.

Amazing that the criteria by which you select 'Americas worst war' are the casualties suffered by the American military.
The mass devestation left in your wake (Vietnam) is a minor issue I suppose.
