my car is small so it doesnt effect me that much, shipping & prodution costs will increase which will make everything cost a little more, but for the most part it's beneficial.

Less SUV's
Less polution
It will force us to find alternatives to oil
The rich are getting richer, poor getting poorer
more exersize-walking, biking, etc
Helps in "Ousting Bush"
More wars

I would say it would add a boost to public transit but here in St Pete, only the freaky, more scarey dreggs of life ride the bus. Drop your money in the slot and pull out your mace 'cause you're gonna need it! Remember the crazy cat lady on the Simpsons? They're all like that...
