No! Why should the French be allowed to thrive, prosper and profit from the sacrifices and deaths of so many others? The so many others that they, the French refused to help.
They gambled with their illegal dealings with saddam, and lost. Tough.
As a nation, France should not augment her international 'compationate and pacifist' image through helping rebuild Iraq, but i would be perfectly happy seing French military/engineering personel work in Iraq under the banner of the UN, the EU or Nato.
Yes, I believe they to should be allowed to assist with rebuilding Iraq. If the requirement to participate in the rebuilding process is that a country had to be apart of its destruction, then, that is a ridiculous reqirement. I think the French Government refusal to commit troops was a decision made as they saw fit. To penalize a Government for wanting to perserve the life and dignity of their own people is nothing more than dictatorship by those countries who can NOT continue to profess to be a country that is seeking to bring liberty, justice and freedom whether to Iraq, France, Italy and/or any other country.

France didnt blow iraq up and would be foolish to offer their assistance.The united states government went to war with iraq by taking a coalition of the willing, which did not include many major countries who saw the war as un-nessessary. Saddam was no more a threat to the united states than pitcairn island would be, yet the united states government started a war with a dictator that the united states government supported for years while he butchered iranians and kurds, even though the iranians hadn't done a damn thing to the U.S before we started meddling into middle eastern affairs.The french should tell the U.S government to lick its nuts. Any contracts that the french would have with iraq before the war would still be in effect. The U.S has no legal authority to control the assets of other world governments, including iraq or france. Anyone who believes this war was just and legal should be in iraq fighting it instead of sitting here in relative safety and bragging about the all powerful U.S government. This government is just as much a terrorist nation as any nation on earth and its time that people stop supporting the butchering of human life regardless of who is doing it.
